Free charcoal portrait workshop for beginners by local artists Almeta Lennon and Patti Henderson.
Learn the basics of portraiture using pencil and charcoal in this 4-hour session.
All materials provided, including charcoal pencils (black and white), sketching paper, pencils and
a kneadable eraser, but feel free to bring your own tools if preferred.
The workshop will cover:
Facial ratios and Relative dimensions
Charcoal techniques to give depth to the face
Blending
You will need to bring an A4 clear print of a full-frontal face for this workshop and a notebook to
take notes etc. However, some prints will be made available for you to use as your reference.
With these basics, you will be able to go on and draw a believable, proportional face to be proud of.
Reservations Essential. Limited number of seats available. Classes will be 12:30pm to 4:30pm Saturday 20th August 2022 at Mudjimba Community Hall.
