Oil Painting for beginners
A free workshop open to all over the age of 16 years. Local Artist Davina Herbert looks forward to meeting you and introducing you to the pleasure of oil painting.
Topics include preparing canvasses & paint boards. Painting mediums, suitable subjects, and composition.
Hopefully, you will complete one or two creative works of art to take home.
So come join us for a creative painterly & productive afternoon.
Coolum Art will provide:
Primed canvas boards and low odour turps (we do not use mediums or regular turps in the hall, considering people with allergies).
What to Bring:
A cheap bundle of mixed-size bristle brushes and a couple of small synthetic brushes for finer details.
Apron or paint shirts & rags to clean up.
Oil paints used
- Titanium white
- Cadmium yellow pale
- Yellow ochre
- Cadmium red
- Alizarine Crimson
- Ultramarine blue
- Thalo blue
- Burnt sienna.
Reservations Essential Limited number of seats available. Classes will be 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Saturday 23rd July 2022 at Mudjimba Community Hall. There are no wait lists for any workshops.
