Learn to use a Palette Knife
This free workshop introduces beginners and existing artists to the basic techniques used in palette knife painting. Conducted by local artists John N Mason and Julie Chadwick. Using a palette knife can bring a freer more expressive look to your artwork and a better way to achieve texture. The workshop will cover colour mixing, knife techniques, blending and layering. And you will create a beach scene.

Reservations Essential Limited number of seats available.
Classes will be 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Saturday 25th June 2022 at Mudjimba Community Hall
Equipment Needed
- Basic acrylic primary colours will be provided by Coolum Art,
but as palette knife painting uses a lot of paint you may want to bring some of your own acrylic paint. - A4 Canvas pages will also be provided but you are welcome to bring your own small canvases.
- Palette knife one small one bigger, see photo. Plastic ones are not suitable,
the best are spring steel rather than stainless because they are more flexible, but hard to find. - Apron, it can get messy,

- A cloth to clean up spills and paper towels,
- Spray bottle with a fine mist.
- A water jar to clean your palette knife in.
