Pencil Drawing
Always wanted to draw? – here is an opportunity to learn in a Free Drawing Workshop for
beginners led by an experienced local artist John N Mason. You will be taught basic pencil drawing techniques that many illustrators use. In this 4-hour hands-on workshop, you will be using only pencils, not charcoal, chalks, or pastels. You must be over 16 years of age and reservations are essential. Classes were 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Saturday 30th April at Mudjimba Community Hall.

Acrylic Painting
Free acrylic painting workshop for beginners by local artist Roger Bayzand.
Learn the basics of painting with acrylics and create a beach scene in a 4-hour session.
All materials are provided including paint, board and brushes but feel free to bring your own equipment if you prefer.
The workshop will cover:-

Palette Knife Painting
This free workshop introduces beginners and existing artists to the basic techniques used in palette knife painting. Conducted by local artists John N Mason and Julie Chadwick. Using a palette knife can bring a freer more expressive look to your artwork and a better way to achieve texture. The workshop will cover colour mixing, knife techniques, blending and layering. And you will create a beach scene.

Oil Painting for beginners
A free workshop open to all over the age of 16 years. Local Artist Davina Herbert looks forward to meeting you and introducing you to the pleasure of oil painting.
Topics include preparing canvasses & paint boards. Painting Mediums, suitable subjects, and composition.
Hopefully, you will complete one or two creative works of art to take home.
So come join us for a creative painterly & productive afternoon.

Portraiture (Charcoal Drawing)
Free charcoal portrait workshop for beginners by local artists Almeta Lennon and Patti Henderson.
Learn the basics of portraiture using pencil and charcoal in this 4-hour session.
All materials provided
The workshop will cover:
- Facial ratios and Relative dimensions
- Charcoal techniques to give depth to the face
- Blending
By the end, you will be able to go on and draw a believable, proportional face to be proud of.

Sketchbook Fun
Free sketchbook workshop for anyone who loves to sketch. This will be led by local artists Julie Chadwick, Barbara Brown and Gaye Cooke.
Firstly, you will have some fun learning to make your very own sketchbook followed by a session on how to use it.
Then we will take our sketchbooks outside to have some fun with them.
What to bring:
Pencil, pen, coloured pencils or anything else you would like to use in your sketchbook
Watercolour paints and brushes (small sets are easy and cheap to find)
Water container, paper towel
Eraser
Scissors
Glue stick

Watercolour paper
