Moon’s Mission
Genetic Cures for Kids Inc (GC4K) is a not-for-profit charity run by a volunteer Board. Every dollar raised goes explicitly to rare disease research programs and clinical trials to find cures for rare diseases. GC4K’s first program is committed to finding a cure for SPG56.

Our raffle helps towards “Story Dogs” charity

To improve literacy skills, instead of reading to a big class, children are encouraged to read to a companion dog.
In a quiet area of the school, the children read to the dog. The dogs do not judge, laugh or criticise, which promotes relaxation and lowers blood pressure, allowing the child to proceed at their own pace.
Sponsorship provides volunteers with training, plus insurance for the dog and handler and provides new, fun picture books.
